Warehouse 66 Music in historic downtown Waynesville, MO began in late 2016 when Chris and Rachel Potts took the leap into business ownership and bought the building where Route 66 Music had been for the previous 10 years. Their vision for an industrial style showroom, expanded inventory and business hours, and a focus on music education and entertainment led them to remodel the building and expand the existing services.
As lifelong residents and graduates of Waynesville, Chris and Rachel know the town, the people, and the area's needs and hope to fill that want for a strong local music presence in the community. Their desire is help music lovers of all ages and all skill levels by providing a local shop where musicians can get the instruments, equipment and instruction they desire. Beyond music lessons given by private instructors in the store, they hope to provide music classes at daycares, special sessions for home school groups, and expanded hours for one-on-one instruction.
Lovers of live music, Chris and Rachel also want to help promote our local musicians and bands, bring in more tourism through concerts, community events, and assist with theatre needs and recitals.
Anyone is welcome to stop in, plug in, and try out any of our instruments. You are more than welcome to jam!
